Summer Is finally here. And yet...

... there it goes. No more fun and relaxing in the sun . I have finally entered the, oh so different world of work. Early mornings and long days as apposed to early mornings and long days. OK, so I play just as hard as I work but its still not the same. Today was my first day working with an exterior design and build company (lots of outside manual work). It may take some getting used to but I guess I really have nothing to complain about and should be thankfull. oh well.

A Few Flowers

I really do enjoy taking pictures but I also hate carrying around a camera. This poses a slight problem and greatly reduces the number of pictures that I have(their all on other peoples cameras). But anyway, here are a few I do have. I have found flowers to be a perfect target because God has already created them so beautiful that it is hard not to get a good picture.

Game 2 "Adapted Ultimate"

You are probably now realizing that the frisbee is my summer toy. This next game is simply an adaptation of ultimate frisbee. Instead of having end zones you place lacrosse or hockey goals at each end of the Field. It really adds a new twist to the game. It's up to you whether you want goalies or areas to prevent you from getting to close to the net.

Game 1 "Frisbee Taps"

Games are quite simply my favourite past time. Any kind: Outdoor, Indoor, large groups, small groups, pointless games, serious games, hilarious games, quiet games, loud games, name games... any way you get the picture. What I am going to try to do is to keep running inventory of any fun game that I come across but have not seen before. Feel free to give some input if you have a game that I may not have heard of before.

To start this off I'll mention a game that I played for the first time at the beach the other day. It's called frisbee taps(dont worry no frisbee skills are required). This is a scrappy, fast game that does not require much running.

The point of the game is to get 11 points before the other team. Team sizes can range from 3 to whatever, depending on how many times you want to touch the frisbee. Teams stand about thirty feet across from each other and pretty much remain there the whole game. The game starts with team 1 tossing a decent throw to the other team. Team 2 then has too keep the frisbee aloft by hitting, poking, or tapping the frisbee into the air. for every tap the team gets one point. one person can not hit the frisbee two times in a row and you only get the points if someone from your team catches the frisbee before it touches the ground. After the frisbee is caught, or in most cases hits the ground, team two throws the frisbee to team 1 and they try to accomplish the same thing. Thats the game, enjoy. Just like most things, it sounds easier than it really is.
